The bands can be purchased in a wide variety of colors and sizes and can be customized with text and graphics.
Types of Wristbands
- Debossed: Debossed bracelets are the most popular custom silicone wristband. Messages and artwork are engraved into the rubber similar to the famous Lance Armstrong Foundation livestrong bracelets. Because they require a mold to be manufactured, they tend to be more expensive than printed bands
- Embossed: Embossed bracelets have text and artwork raised above the band. Similar to the debossed style, a custom manufactured mold is required and tends to make these bracelets more expensive than printed bands.
- Segmented: Segmented bracelets are produced with a mix of colors that are segmented or divided around the band. These bands can be embossed or debossed.
- Swirl: Swirl bracelets are produced with multi colors that are intertwined around the band. These bands can be embossed or debossed.
- Printed: Printed bracelets have text and artwork printed directly on the rubber. These bracelets are typically less expensive than debossed and embossed because no custom mold is needed.
Searching Online for Wristbands
- Determine budget and needs. Silicone wristbands can be purchased and customized utilizing different printing methods, with different processing times, and different quantity requirements. All three of these components affect price.
- Blank bands can be purchased for as little as $1.00 a piece with a minimum order quantity of 20. The more items purchased, the less each piece is going to cost. Custom bracelets often have a minimum order requirement starting at 100 pieces and prices starting around $1.30. Individual wristbands can be purchased from online auction sites like eBay for as a little as $0.99. Online promotional companies typically do not sell in individual quantities.
- Perform a search online for “custom silicone wristbands.” A list of online retailers will be presented. Select an online vendor to begin comparing prices and products.
- Select a product that suites needs. Blank silicone bands can be ordered or have them custom made with a logo, message or design. Many sites also provide artwork free of charge to use.
- Make note of any additional fees that a seller may charge for customizations. These fees may be charged for setup and mold, artwork, and multi-colored/segmented processing.
